Stops to consider making during the drive:

The following amenities are not available in Centuri but can be picked up on your route to Centuri from Bastia:

  1. Grocery stores, bakery, etc.: Maccinagio; there’s a small ‘bodega’ in the port of Centuri but true grocery stores are in Maccinagio

  3. ATM: Maccinagio is the closest ATM, note that some bars and restaurants are cash-only

Transportation and other options the evening of the wedding:

  1. Sleeping on-site: There will be an opportunity for some to pile into the bedrooms with camping mattresses; sign up via this form if this is of interest

  2. Shuttle: There will be a shuttle from the couvent (the wedding location) to the surrounding villages every hour from 2am to 5am included. One shuttle in the evening can stop by Rogliano if the (6) guests staying there are interested. For those of you who choose to drive to the couvent and return home via the shuttle, we’ll have a shuttle to pick you up between 11:14 - 11:45am on Sunday to bring you back to your car at the couvent.

Infos Cap Corse
Welcome

Bienvenue!

We hope that you'll join us along with other friends and family in the beautiful and remote Cap Corse to celebrate our wedding on September 1st, 2018. The surrounding villages of Centuri and Morsiglia have a combined population of a little over three hundred - this is a quiet and small place! The ceremony and reception will take place in the Couvent de l'Annunziata, a convent built in the 1400s near Morsiglia. We are excited to share this magical corner of France with you all.

We will have a welcome dinner for everyone who has arrived on Friday August 31st, the ceremony and reception on Saturday September 1st, and additional festivities for those who can stay on Sunday September 2nd. We're planning a few fun things like a petanque contest and hike - more details to come! See other parts of this website for more information on lodging & transportation.

GETTING TO CORSICA

All beautiful and remote locations take a little effort to reach! Here are our suggestions on how to get to our part of the Cap Corse, but feel free to explore additional options as well.

From America:

Flying in to Bastia (via Paris, Nice or another major European city) is our recommendation. You can also take a ferry, that takes both passengers and cars, from Nice but the voyage is between 5-7 hours depending on the ferry line. Once in Bastia you need to rent a car (or carpool with other guests!) for the two hour journey along winding roads to the Centuri / Morsiglia area. Having a car will be handy, we recommend making sure you have access to one for the duration of your stay!
